The content and learning outcomes of this course have had a significant impact on both my professional reflection and my long-term career orientation, particularly by deepening my understanding of teaching as a reflective and socially responsive practice. Throughout the course, I engaged with multiple theoretical frameworks of inclusion, policy structures, and practical applications, which collectively encouraged me to critically examine my own beliefs, assumptions, and teaching approaches. Reflection is widely recognized as a central component of teacher development, as it enables educators to move beyond routine practice and engage in systematic, critical thinking about their experiences (Pinnegar et al., 2023). In this context, I have come to understand reflection not simply as a personal activity but as a structured and ongoing process that supports professional growth and informed decision-making. For instance, reflective practice allows educators to analyze their actions, question underlying assumptions, and adapt their strategies to better meet the diverse needs of learners (Minott, 2019).

Moreover, the course emphasized that reflective practice is closely connected to inclusive education, as it enables teachers to recognize biases, identify barriers, and develop more equitable learning environments. Research suggests that reflective teaching plays a critical role in fostering inclusive classrooms by helping educators become more aware of their pedagogical choices and their impact on students (Faerm & Quinn, 2023) . This insight has influenced my professional identity by encouraging me to adopt a more critical and self-aware approach to teaching, where continuous reflection becomes a tool for improvement and adaptation. Additionally, reflection has been described as a disciplined and meaning-making process that connects experience with deeper understanding, ultimately helping professionals refine their practices and set future goals (Boud et al., as discussed in Cădariu & Marici, 2025; MDPI, 2024).

As a result of these learning experiences, my career orientation has shifted toward a more holistic and system-oriented view of education. I now see my future role not only as a classroom teacher but also as an educator who contributes to inclusive practices, collaborates within multidisciplinary systems, and engages with policy and institutional frameworks. The course has encouraged me to align my career goals with principles of equity, inclusion, and continuous professional development, recognizing that effective teaching requires both reflective thinking and responsiveness to diverse educational contexts. Ultimately, this course has strengthened my commitment to becoming a reflective practitioner who actively contributes to inclusive and transformative educational environments.
